Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. There's nothing recurring to cancel
Manuscriptchk is pay-per-check — there are no subscriptions, trials, or recurring billing of any kind. "Cancellation" here refers only to stopping a specific manuscript check that is currently queued or being processed.
2. Cancelling a check in progress
While a check is Queued or Checking, you'll see a "Cancel check" button on that check's report page. Selecting it stops the check immediately — there is no minimum time it needs to have been running.
3. What happens to your payment
- If you cancelled before paying (or before an access code was applied), nothing was charged — there is nothing further to do.
- If you had already paid or used an access code for that check, the payment stays linked to that same check as a credit — it is not charged again. You can resume it any time by pressing Retry from your History, using the same manuscript, at no extra cost.
- Cancelling does not, by itself, refund money to your original payment method. If you'd rather have the amount refunded instead of retrying, see our Refund Policy below.
4. Checks that fail on their own
If a check fails due to a system or processing error (rather than you cancelling it), the same "no extra charge" principle applies: you can retry the exact same check from History for free. If a retry doesn't resolve it, you may be eligible for a refund — see our Refund Policy.
5. Once a report is complete
A completed check cannot be cancelled — the report has already been generated, delivered to your dashboard, and emailed to you. See our Refund Policy for how completed checks are treated.
6. Need help?
If cancelling or retrying from your dashboard doesn't work as expected, write to contact@mstechnomedia.com with your registered email and the manuscript name.
