How it works
Step-by-step guide to our tools
Here is exactly how the Manuscript QC Check, the Reference Converter, the Formula Converter and Chem Structure work, from sign-in to download.
Tool 1
Manuscript QC Check
A full publication-readiness check of your manuscript — structure, required components, language and references — in one prioritized report.
- 1
Sign in or create an account
Sign up with your email (we send a 6-digit verification code) or continue with Google. Your checks and reports are saved to your account.
- 2
Upload your manuscript
Open New check and drop in your manuscript — .docx, .pdf or .txt, up to 20 MB. Word (.docx) gives the most accurate result, including figures and tables.
- 3
Choose the check type and article type
Pick the reference style your journal uses — APA 7 or Vancouver — so your report includes the reference list converted to that style. Choose your article type (Original Article, Review Article, Case Report, and more) or leave it on Auto-detect.
- 4
Confirm and pay
Press Start QC check, review the details, and pay securely through Razorpay — UPI, cards, net banking or wallets. A PDF payment receipt is emailed to you. If you were given an access or discount code, choose Have a code? and enter it.
- 5
Your manuscript is checked
The check starts straight away and shows its progress on screen. It usually takes a few minutes; you can close the page — the finished report is emailed to you and saved in History.
- 6
Read your report
Everything that could hold up your submission, in order of importance:
- Final recommendation and an overall score
- Action items marked Critical, Moderate or Minor, each with where to fix it
- Detailed findings: article type, title, abstract, keywords, headings, figures, tables, abbreviations
- Citation cross-check: cited-but-missing, listed-but-never-cited and mismatched references
- Your reference list converted to APA 7 or Vancouver, author queries and spelling
- 7
Download and fix
Download the report as PDF or Word, or copy any section with one click. Work through the action items, then submit with confidence. Every report stays in History for later.
Tool 2
Reference Converter
Convert an entire reference list between APA 7 and Vancouver, with the in-text citation changes you need and every reference checked against Crossref.
- 1
Sign in
Use the same account as the QC Check, then open Reference Converter from your dashboard.
- 2
Pick the direction
APA 7 → Vancouver (author-date to numbered) or Vancouver → APA 7 (numbered to author-date).
- 3
Upload a file or paste your list
Upload your manuscript or reference list (.docx, .pdf or .txt, up to 20 MB), or switch to Paste text and paste the references directly — one per line.
- 4
Confirm and pay
Press Start conversion and pay through Razorpay (or use an access code if you have one). Your PDF payment receipt is emailed to you.
- 5
References are converted and verified
Every reference is reformatted in the target style and cross-checked against Crossref. The result appears on screen and is emailed to you as a PDF when it's ready.
- 6
Use the three results
Your conversion gives you everything needed to update the manuscript:
- In-text citation replacements — find each item on the left in your text and replace it with the one on the right
- The converted list in your original order, so you can check each reference one-to-one
- A Word-ready final list: alphabetical for APA 7, renumbered by first citation for Vancouver
- References verified against Crossref are highlighted in green
- 7
Download any time
Download the result as PDF or Word, or copy any list. Past conversions are under History → Reference Conversions.
Tool 3
Formula Converter
Turn typed, LaTeX, photographed or handwritten formulas into native, editable Word equations — no more retyping them in Word's equation editor.
- 1
Sign in
Use your Manuscriptchk account, then open Formula Converter from the dashboard.
- 2
Paste formulas or upload a file
Paste one formula per line — plain notation (x^2 + 1/2), words (“the integral of x squared from 0 to 1”) or LaTeX — or upload a .txt or a photo/scan (PNG, JPG, TIFF…) of printed or handwritten formulas. Up to 50 formulas per run.
- 3
Start — free right now
While the offer lasts there is nothing to pay: press Start and the conversion begins straight away. (When the tool is paid, you pay per file or pasted list through Razorpay.)
- 4
Download your Word equations
You get a .docx of native, editable Word equations — the same kind Word's own equation editor makes — plus the LaTeX for every formula. It's emailed to you and saved in History.
Tool 4
Chem Structure
Draw clean, publication-ready 2D chemical structures from names, formulas, SMILES, InChI or a sketch.
- 1
Sign in
Use your Manuscriptchk account, then open Chem Structure from the dashboard.
- 2
Enter your compounds
Paste one compound per line — a name (aspirin), a formula, SMILES or InChI — or upload a .txt list or a sketch/photo of a structure. Up to 30 structures per run.
- 3
Start — free right now
While the offer lasts there is nothing to pay: press Start and the structures are drawn straight away. (When the tool is paid, you pay per file or pasted list through Razorpay.)
- 4
Download publication-ready structures
Clean 2D drawings as PNG and SVG, each with its molecular formula, molecular weight and SMILES. Download them as a ZIP; everything is saved in History.
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. If a payment fails, no charge is made and a receipt of the failed attempt is emailed to you. Questions? Contact us.
